Position Summary:
The Research Associate is responsible for executing technical and laboratory activities that support the biology programs. You will play a significant role in assay development, target validation, signal transduction and translational research. The key member will contribute to studies in biochemistry and cell biology in the area of cancer biology providing support for both in vitro and in vivo laboratory activities.   
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Create, execute, and troubleshoot protocols for new lab workflows. Perform early analysis on experiment designing and assay optimization
  2. Conduct biochemical and cellular assays that will support compounds screening effort
  3. Conduct tissue culture, including characterization and development of mammalian cell lines. Development of stable cell lines, mammalian cell transfection, viral transduction, and protein purification
  4. Contribute to peer reviewed publications and meeting presentations
  5. Execute immunoassays, including ELISA, western blot, nucleic acid extraction, PCR and qPCR
  6. Provide support to in vivo pharmacology group when necessary
  7. Communicate experimental strategies and results to peers and executives

Education / Experience:
  1. Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or related scientific discipline with 2+ years related laboratory experience, including design and execution of related experiments
  2. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills/problem solving abilities
  3. Highly organized, self-directed, and detail oriented
  4. Motivated to work in a team at a dynamic and growing oncology company
